The Redirection: We like it because it is darkness in motion

Steinsaltz writes, “Much of human activity proceeds without much to show for it; men toil and die in darkness….” The Candle of God, 223. He means we live without participation of the divine, perhaps most men at all times; not just in our times when G-d is beyond almost everyman’s reach, this being the Truth of Existence for us forwarded by Science and History.  The attraction of our Truth for this toiling and dying in darkness is the Fall from Being itself. This is to say we are held to darkness, drawn to it as if it were light because it moves for us. It moves now. Exactly this is its electricity. Recall Lenin’s famous phrase about electricity as effectively this darkness – determinist material darkness as he supposed --modernized.

We are forced to be  “certain” of it, but because we are actualized as certainty, as Time or History, by it. History or Time is our ontology. For example, Lenin has no other reason for being, literally. As for “motion” it is the source, in this mode of extension which includes figure as well,  of all diversity of bodies; in effect, motion-figure presupposes extension therein all bodies, this for as long as our participation in existence is conceived and continued in the mathesis universalis. This perfect and universal certainty for Knowledge in the Strict Sense is impelled by mathematical physics to press this motion, to “find” it. There is no stopping it we know how to effect. It is forward motion in all meaning for existence as such. This is the ceaseless action of Historical motion, our ontology really based in Certainty-is-Telos. We are the result of figurality demonstrated and proved. The Truth of Existence in fact or what is again the “meaning” which is Certainty is Telos as just described. One other point, as it will appear a second “revision” of this superior man Steinsaltz. This is the point about his phrase “much of human activity”. But without G-d it must be all of it. Where is there ontological room to think in this? Are they not running after “consciousness” at this very moment? Expecting to get it in Time? If that is also Being we cannot run out of the one without running out of the other.
