About the Author
In true diplomatic fashion, Alvin Rabushka shuttles back and forth between his home in Stanford, California and Jerusalem. Dr. Rabushka is a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution of Stanford University. In Jerusalem, he is a Senior Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Strategic and Political Studies and serves as co-director of its Division for Economic Policy Research. Dr. Rabushka is the author of numerous books and monographs including three books on tax reform--The Flat Tax; Low Tax, Simple Tax, Flat Tax; and The Tax Revolt, four books on Hong Kong, including Value for Money: The Hong Kong Budgetary Process, and other books on economic development. He is a frequent contributor to The Wall Street Journal and other leading newspapers. He co-edited with Steve H. Hanke, Toward Growth: A Blueprint for Economic Rebirth in Israel (December 1988), the first publication of the Division for Economic Policy Research of IASPS, and recently wrote the Institute's first annual edition of Scorecard on the Israeli Economy: A Review of 1989 (February 1990).
